Head stock supporting column: The Horizontal Boring Machine column provides support to the head stock and guides it up and down accurately by the guide ways provided on the face of the column.The column which is hollow houses the counter weights of the head stock and is heavily ribbed to add rigidity. some columns are stationary, others may be made to slide along the bed
